Dr. Reza Abazari was included in the list of the country's scientific leaders in 1404 (2025-2026).

At the 10th edition of Iran's Scientific Leaders ceremony, held on Saturday, 29 Azar 1404 (December 20, 2025), at the Iran International Conference Center, in the presence of Dr. Ali Mohammad Soltani, President of the Iran National Science Foundation; Dr. Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy; and other senior national officials, the country's scientific leaders and top universities were introduced.

In this evaluation round, Dr. Reza Abazari, a faculty member of the Faculty of Basic Sciences at the University of Maragheh, achieved this honor and was selected as a national scientific leader from the University of Maragheh.

According to the President of the Iran National Science Foundation, to identify and select the leaders, scientific data was extracted from the "Web of Science" database, and their scientific credibility was calculated and ranked using qualitative indicators such as the level of scientific journals selected by the Federation of Iranian Scientific Leaders, the number and quality of citations, and research achievements.

Selected individuals in this round will receive support in the form of cash research awards, international scientific trips, grants from the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network, and support for the recruitment and employment of postdoctoral researchers, in accordance with the regulations of the Iran National Science Foundation.
