Dr. Reza Abazari was selected as the country's top chemistry researcher.

Dr. Reza Abazari, a faculty member of the University of Maragheh, has been awarded the Sobouti-Khajepour Scientific Prize in the ninth edition of this national event.

The board of trustees of this prestigious scientific prize announced the names of the 2024 winners in the fields of chemistry, life sciences, and computer science. The prize was established in memory of Professor Yousef Sobouti and Professor Mohammad Reza Khajepour, founders of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in Zanjan, with the aim of identifying and honoring the country's young scientists.

In this edition, Dr. Reza Abazari, a faculty member of the Chemistry Department, was selected as the laureate in chemistry for his impactful research activities in developing Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for energy storage and clean fuel production.

The Sobouti-Khajepour Scientific Prize is awarded biennially to only one individual per scientific field. To date, only four researchers in the field of chemistry in Iran have received this honor, highlighting the prominence of this achievement.

We congratulate Dr. Abazari on this valuable accomplishment and wish him continued and increasing success in scientific, research, and educational endeavors.
